Captain Ryan Stoa
Licensed Coast Guard Captain.
Minnesota born fisherman, I developed a passion for Walleye, Bass + Muskie. I grew up spending summers on the water in northern Minnesota. Fly fishing for trout in the rockies, bow fishing for catfish in central Pennsylvania, or tossing for perch in Sweden, I find the water wherever I live.
My first career, as a professional hockey player for 15+ seasons, sent me all over the world. A cup of coffee in the NHL, Russia, and Sweden. One of my career highlights was when I was selected as a player for team USA in the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea.
In 2016, my wife, Clare and I set up home base in sunny Southwest Florida. We grew our family in 2020 when we welcomed our son, Oskar, into the world. Two years later, we had a daughter named Freja.
Equipment
We will be fishing out of a 26 foot Pathfinder bay boat. Designed to suit 3 people + guide. A 300 HP Yamaha motor, double power pole for anchoring ease. Remote controlled trolling motor, speaker system w Spotify + FM radio, navigation system, triple live wells, storage compartments and dry well. Boat is equipped with USCG safety equipment and emergency location devices.
